Rohan Eternal Vengeance Race Selection Guide — All 7 Races

Curated from the Rohan community · Published June 14, 2026

One of the first decisions you make in R.O.H.A.N.: Eternal Vengeance is choosing your race. The Class Selection Screen presents seven races, each with its own class tree, stat growth, and playstyle. This guide gives you a practical overview of all seven so you can pick the one that suits how you want to play.

Think About Playstyle First

Before clicking on a race, ask yourself:

  • Do you want to deal damage, tank, support, or a mix?
  • Do you prefer melee or ranged combat?
  • Are you planning to focus on PvP, PvE grinding, or both?

Race determines your available classes — and your second-tier class choice (unlocked as you level) defines your endgame role. There is no wrong pick, but some races fit certain playstyles better than others.

Race Overview

Race Weapon Style Class Path Best For
Human One-handed weapons + shield Defender / Guardian Tanking, PvE, beginners
Elf Magic / ranged hybrid Varies by class Healing, support roles
Half Elf Bows, ranged physical Ranger / Scout Ranged DPS, kiting
Giant Two-handed heavy weapons Savage / Berserker Melee DPS, brute force
Dhan Daggers, light weapons Rogue / Avenger PvP burst damage, stealth
Dekan Dragon-style melee Dragon Knight / Tempest Hybrid DPS, aggressive play
Dark Elf Staves, magic Wizard / Warlock Magic DPS, crowd control

Race Lore Flavour

Each race has a backstory visible on the Class Selection Screen. Here is the Human lore as an example of what to expect:

"Race ruled by Roha. Known for their pioneering spirit and diligence. Their kingdom was called Del Lagos, and their Knighthood centered around the gods. Faith and legacy were the most important values for the human Knights that wielded one handed weapons."

Every race has similar flavour text. Reading it takes a moment and gives you a feel for the culture and combat identity of each race beyond the stat sheet.

Quick Recommendations by Goal

  • New to Rohan Online? Start with Human. The Defender path is forgiving, the class tree is straightforward, and tanks are always useful in group content.
  • Want to grind efficiently solo? Try Giant (Berserker) or Dark Elf (Warlock) — both have strong solo damage output.
  • PvP-focused? Dhan (Avenger) is a classic PvP race with high burst potential.
  • Prefer ranged combat? Half Elf (Ranger/Scout) is the dedicated bow class.
  • Like magic? Dark Elf covers traditional mage fantasy with Wizard and Warlock paths.

Making the Final Call

Race is permanent per character, but accounts support multiple characters — try an alt if you are unsure. When ready, head back to the character creation walkthrough to finish setup.

FAQ

Q: Which race is best for beginners in Rohan Online?
A: Human is the most beginner-friendly choice. The Defender second-class path is straightforward to build, durable enough to survive mistakes, and welcome in group content from early levels.

Q: Can I change my race after the game starts?
A: No. Race is locked at character creation. You can create additional characters on the same account to try other races without losing your main.

Q: What is the best race for PvP in Rohan Eternal Vengeance?
A: Dhan (Avenger) is the most popular PvP race due to its high burst damage and stealth-based mechanics. Dark Elf (Warlock) is also strong in PvP for crowd control.

Q: Are all seven races available on every server?
A: Not necessarily. Private servers sometimes restrict available races. Check the server's information page before choosing — some servers limit races to a subset of the full seven.
