Just installed R.O.H.A.N.: Eternal Vengeance and ready to jump in? This guide walks you through every step of character creation — from launching the game for the first time to stepping into the world.
Step 1 — Launch the Game
Open the Game Launcher from your desktop shortcut. The launcher checks for updates automatically and begins downloading any pending patches. Watch the progress bar — when it reaches 100%, the PLAY button becomes clickable. Do not close the launcher while it is patching.
Click PLAY when it lights up.
Step 2 — Log In
After the game client loads you will reach the Login Screen.
- Enter your Username and Password (the account you registered on the PlayROHAN website).
- Click LOGIN.
- A server list appears — select your preferred server and click CONFIRM.
If you are unsure which server to pick, choose the one with the lowest ping or the one your friends play on. Server choice matters — characters are not shared between servers.
Step 3 — Create a Character
You are now at the Character Selection Screen. Click CREATE to begin.
This takes you to the Class Selection Screen, which displays all available races: Human, Elf, Half Elf, Giant, Dhan, Dekan, and Dark Elf. Each race has its own class tree and playstyle.
Click the race you want to play, then click NEXT.

Step 4 — Customize Your Character
The customization screen lets you shape how your character looks:
- Use the arrow controls to cycle through available face styles and hair styles.
- Use the Zoom and Rotate controls to view your character from different angles before committing.
- Type your character name in the name field. Names must be unique on the server.
- Choose your starting area. The default is the Tutorial Zone, which is recommended for new players — it introduces basic movement, combat, and questing before you reach the main world.
Step 5 — Confirm and Enter the World
When you are happy with your appearance and name, click CONFIRM. Your character is created and you are loaded directly into your chosen starting area.
If you selected the Tutorial Zone, take the time to complete it. It covers the basics and rewards you with early gear and experience that smooth out your first few levels.

- You can have multiple characters per account — experiment with different races before committing to a main.
