Rohan Arrendal Transmutation Guide — Add Options

Curated from the Rohan community · Published June 15, 2026

The Arrendal is unique among weapons in Rohan Online — it has no built-in options of its own. Transmutation is the system that fixes this, letting you transfer the options from an Ancient weapon directly onto the Arrendal to give it competitive stats. Every endgame Trinity player needs to understand how this works before spending their crones.

How Arrendal Transmutation Works

Place the Arrendal alongside an Ancient Material Weapon in the Transmutation UI. The cost is a flat 300,000,000 crones (300M) per attempt.

On success, the Ancient weapon's options are applied to the Arrendal in full. Any options the Arrendal previously had are replaced entirely — transmutation overwrites, it does not stack.

On failure, the Arrendal itself is completely safe. No damage, no stat loss, nothing changes on it. However, the material weapon is destroyed and gone. If you want to protect the material weapon on a failed attempt, place an Arrendal Transmutation Preservation Stone (available from the Item Mall) in the slot before starting — this saves the material if the attempt fails.

One additional rule applies to material level: if the Ancient weapon's level is higher than the Arrendal's current level, you must level-refine the material weapon down first before it can be used in transmutation.

Special Case: Upgrade Equipment

The Upgrade Equipment is a special item that can transfer all of its stats to the Arrendal through transmutation. Be aware of the risk here — unlike a standard material weapon, the Upgrade Equipment can be permanently destroyed on failure if no Preservation Stone is used. Protect it.

Item Stats

The table below shows a real transmutation example using a Glacial Split Club as the material weapon. Options from the material completely replace the Arrendal's original options.

Stat Severance Gauntlet BEFORE Severance Gauntlet AFTER
Weapon Level 109 109
Damage 426 426
Attack Speed Very Fast Very Fast
Health Absorption +1% — (removed)
Mana Absorption +1% — (removed)
Strength +110
Intelligence +43
Vitality +110
Attack Speed +50%
Critical +12%
Health +110%
Mana +60%
Melee Attack +70%
Damage Drop +63%

Material used: Glacial Split Club +9 (One Handed Mace, Lv109 req, Race H/E/G). The Arrendal's base stats (damage, attack speed, race restriction) do not change — only the options slot is rewritten.

Quick Tips

  • The Arrendal is always safe on failure — only the material weapon is at risk.
  • A Preservation Stone protects the material, not the Arrendal (the Arrendal already has no penalty).
  • Always match or exceed the Arrendal's level with your material weapon; higher-level materials must be level-refined first.
  • The Upgrade Equipment can be destroyed on failure — never transmute it without a Preservation Stone.

FAQ

Q: Does a failed transmutation damage the Arrendal?
A: No. The Arrendal takes no penalty on failure. The only loss is the material weapon, which is destroyed unless you used a Preservation Stone.

Q: Can I stack options on top of existing Arrendal options?
A: No. Transmutation fully replaces the Arrendal's existing options with those from the material weapon. Previous options are gone after a successful transmutation.

Q: Do Transmutation options survive Arrendal evolution?
A: Yes. Options applied through Transmutation carry through evolution intact. The enhanced (refinement) value resets on evolution, but Transmutation options do not.

Q: Where do I get the Arrendal Transmutation Preservation Stone?
A: It is available from the Item Mall. It must be placed in the Transmutation UI before you start the attempt to take effect on a failure.
