Relic Recycling Guide: Turn Duplicate Relics into Preservation Stones

Curated from the Rohan community · Published June 14, 2026

Got duplicate relics? Don't trash them — toss them into the Recycle System and walk away with Relic Preservation Stone Boxes. Here's how it works.

How Relic Recycling Works

Combining two relics of the same type produces a Relic Preservation Stone Box. The grade of the box depends on the enhancement level of your relics.

Example Recipe

Normal Broken Mask (+2) + Normal Broken Mask
= Advanced Relic Preservation Stone Box (+2)

The key mechanic here: the enhancement level of your input relic carries over to determine the output box tier.

What's Inside the Relic Preservation Stone Boxes?

The high-resolution guide image shows the exact contents of each box tier when opened:

Box Contents When Opened
Advanced/Rare/Ancient/Legend Relic Preservation Stone Box (Enhancement +0) x2 Advanced / Ancient / Legend Relic Preservation Stone
Advanced/Rare/Ancient/Legend Relic Preservation Stone Box (Enhancement +1) x3 Advanced / Ancient / Legend Relic Preservation Stone
Advanced/Rare/Ancient/Legend Relic Preservation Stone Box (Enhancement +2) x6 Advanced / Ancient / Legend Relic Preservation Stone
Advanced/Rare/Ancient/Legend Relic Preservation Stone Box (Enhancement +3) x20 Advanced / Ancient / Legend Relic Preservation Stone
Advanced/Rare/Ancient/Legend Relic Preservation Stone Box (Enhancement +4) x100 Advanced / Ancient / Legend Relic Preservation Stone
Advanced/Rare/Ancient/Legend Relic Preservation Stone Box (Enhancement +5) x700 Advanced / Ancient / Legend Relic Preservation Stone

Note: You need to open the box to receive the stones. The Tradeable column in the official table indicates these boxes are not tradeable — you must open them on the character that crafted them.

The yield scales dramatically with enhancement level — a +5 box gives 700 stones vs just 2 stones from a +0 box. Always try to combine enhanced relics for maximum return.

Relic Types Supported

The full combination table covers three relic grades across Normal and Advanced enhancement tiers:

  • Ancient Relic (e.g., Ancient Broken Mask)
  • Creature Relic (e.g., Creature Broken Mask)
  • Legendary Relic (e.g., Legendary Broken Mask)

Each grade can be combined with its own type or cross-combined with another grade for different box outputs.

Why Bother?

If you're sitting on duplicate relics — especially enhanced ones you don't plan to use — recycling converts them into Relic Preservation Stone Boxes that have utility value. It's a clean way to avoid dead inventory weight.

Enhanced relics at +2 or higher produce Advanced grade boxes, which are more useful than basic ones.

Quick Tips

  • Don't recycle relics you might use later — especially rare or enhanced ones.
  • Match types exactly — two of the same relic type, same or compatible enhancement.
  • The Recycle System doesn't fail here — you always get the box.
  • Hang onto Advanced Relic Preservation Stone Boxes — they're useful for your active relic gear.

FAQ

Q: What is a Relic Preservation Stone Box used for?
It contains Relic Preservation Stones, which are used to protect relics during enhancement or other upgrade processes.

Q: Does the enhancement level of both relics need to match?
Based on the example in the guide, the enhancement level of the input relic determines the output tier — so enhanced relics produce better boxes.

Q: Can I recycle relics of different enhancement levels together?
The recipe example shows one relic at +2 and one without a specified level — mixing may be possible, but aim to match levels for optimal output.

Q: Is there a limit to how many times I can recycle relics?
No stated limit — recycle as many duplicate relics as you have.
