Epic Weapons
Epic weapons were the first upgraded weapon type released. You buy the complete weapon and it comes at +15 right away. Most of the stats are fixed and the same for every player. The only stats that change are class-based bonuses, like melee, magic, or ranged attack, and bonus stats such as strength, dexterity, or Vitality.
Old Upgraded Weapons (Version 1.0)
Old Upgraded weapons need more work. You buy 4 separate weapon parts and forge them together yourself until you have a full weapon. This tier is older and weaker than the New Upgraded tier.
New Upgraded Weapons (Version 2.0 and 3.0)
New Upgraded weapons also need 4 parts forged together, but they look like Glacial weapons and hit harder. These are the best weapons currently in the game. Some 2.0 weapons beat 3.0 weapons and vice versa — it depends on your class and whether you are gearing for farming or PVP. Always check both versions for your specific class before deciding which one to build.
