The Excavation Permit lets you dig for treasure in Rohan Online — and just like most timed items in the game, you can extend its duration through the Recycle System. Here's everything you need to know.
Where to Buy the Base Permit
Head to NPC Treasure located in Gratt Treasure Warehouse.
- Sealed Excavation Permit (8Hr) — 50 million Crones each
- The output of all recycle combinations is tradeable
Upgrade Recipes
Step 1: 8Hr → 16Hr
Excavation Permit (8Hr) + Excavation Permit (8Hr)
= Excavation Permit (16Hr) [tradable]
Step 2: 16Hr → 1 Day
Excavation Permit (16Hr) + Excavation Permit (8Hr)
= Excavation Permit (1D) [tradable]
Note: Step 2 is a mixed recipe — one 16Hr and one 8Hr. Not two of the same duration.
Total Cost to Reach 1D Permit
You need 3 base permits (8Hr) in total:
| Item | Quantity | Cost Each | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sealed Excavation Permit (8Hr) | 3 | 50M Crones | 150M Crones |
Two go into making the 16Hr, and a third is added to push it to 1D.
Is It Worth Combining?
If you're planning an extended excavation session, combining into a 1D permit is far more convenient than juggling three separate 8Hr timers. Since the output is tradeable, you can also sell combined permits on the market at a markup.
Quick Tips
- The recipe never fails — you always get the upgraded permit.
- Step 2 mixes a 16Hr + 8Hr, not two 16Hr — don't make the mistake of buying too many of the same type.
- Gratt Treasure Warehouse is where NPC Treasure is — save a waypoint.
- At 50M Crones each, three permits = 150M Crones total investment for a full day of excavation access.
FAQ
Q: Is there a permit longer than 1D?
Not through the current recycle recipes. 1D is the maximum achievable through combining.
Q: Can I buy the 16Hr or 1D permit directly?
No — NPC Treasure only sells the 8Hr version. Longer durations must be crafted through Recycle.
Q: What does the Excavation Permit actually unlock?
It grants access to the treasure excavation activity in Gratt Treasure Warehouse, where you can dig for valuable items and rewards.
